Body Installation to Chassis

bodyon1.jpg

Al & I rolled the chassis and body onto the driveway and had the body blocks on the frame, ready to go.

You can see some of the body blocks on the frame.  Each block has a rubber pad (shim) under it.  There are 2 blocks on the body  just forward of the seat that must be bolted first.

That was fast!  4 of us lifted it using 8 foot 2X4's.  No pictures because I was one of the lifters.

Back in the garage.  There is some final re-positioning to do and then the installation of the body bolts.  The bolts will be left loose, it may have to be shimmed when we install the hood.

Thanks to:  Dave Cobb, Dave Swanson, Don, Carolyn & Grace, Vern Larson and Art Doucot.  Great job!

More to come.  Hood, rear fenders, interior, everything that makes it a Model A.
